A spectacular opening hole, which is lined with brooks, ponds and bunkers along the right hand side from the tee-off to the green. The fairway is however comfortably wide, so that the average player can safely make their way to the end of the course. On the last 100m the course leads as a dogleg between 2 ponds to the green on a slope on the other side of the bottom of the valley. Long hitters can potentially reach the green with the second stroke; however they should neither be too short or be twisted to the left.
