Eikhof 18 hole championship course

Course Description

» HOLE 1 . PAR 5
A spectacular opening hole, which is lined with brooks, ponds and bunkers along the right hand side from the tee-off to the green.

» HOLE 2 . PAR 3
The stroke leads from the top of a hill ridge over a pond to the green, situated on the opposite hillside.

» HOLE 3 . PAR 4
The drive presents a wide landing zone without any obstacles to the player.

» HOLE 4 . PAR 3
One of the shortest holes on the course, but at the same time one of the most attractive, from both a sporting and a visual point of view.

» HOLE 5 . PAR 4
A very long, difficult par 4 with a fairway divided into two by a wall in the landing zone of the drive.

» HOLE 6 . PAR 5
This hole is flanked by ponds and streams on the left hand side from the tee-off to the green.

» HOLE 7 . PAR 4
The hole runs downhill in the opposite direction to the 6th hole and doesn’t seem as long as its length in metres suggests.

» HOLE 8 . PAR 3
The shortest hole on the course has an excellently defended peninsula green, which must be played over a pond.

» HOLE 9 . PAR 5
This hole is not only visually breathtaking, but also in a class of its own from a strategic point of view.

» HOLE 10 . PAR 4
This hole is again a prime example of the “hard par, easy bogey” principle.

» HOLE 11 . PAR 4
The landing zone of the tee restricts long hits by a blocking bunker and a large boulder, so that the players have to place their tee shot further away and can still use a medium or also a longer iron golf club for the green.

» HOLE 12 . PAR 5
With its highly unusual design this par 5 forms the next highlight of the course.

» HOLE 13 . PAR 4
This scenic, attractive hole leads from a hill to a fairway, which is nestled between a splendid old hedgerow and a waste bunker, and from there to the green on another hill.

» HOLE 14 . PAR 3
This hole is separated from the rest of the golf course by a hedge.

» HOLE 15 . PAR 5
This hole runs along the riverside forest backdrop on the northern edge of the golf terrain and in scenic terms is therefore probably the most impressive hole of the course.

» HOLE 16 . PAR 4
The hole runs as a dogleg along the north-west corner of the golf terrain.

» HOLE 17 . PAR 3
This hole was modelled on the classic Redan design, whereby one side of the green is open to the green side and can be played flat, while the other side is defended by bunkers and can only be reached in mid-air.

» HOLE 18 . PAR 4
A long par 4 with a wide landing zone for the drive, which is however noticeably narrow for long hitters.
